- Course objectives
- PSB-59 Dance Therapy Dance movement therapy is the use of creative movement and dance in a therapeutic alliance. It enables one to find again the functional pleasure, the psychocorporal unity, self-love and autonomy. A practically oriented course presents a variety approaches in settings. An overview of basic literature and practical contact with chosen methods are done. Subjects: Introduction. Primitive Expression. Symbolic Dance Therapy. American Dance Movement Therapy.

- 1. Origin and development of the dance therapy in the USA and in Europe. 2. Dance rituals in history. 3. Dance therapy of primitive expression (F. Schott-Billmann). 4. Group folk dances of different nations and their importance for psychic health. 5. Symbolic dance therapy, L. Sheleen, danced archetypes. 6. American dance therapy (M. Berger) 7. Cuban psycho-ballet (D. Cruz). 8. Self-concept aimed to relationship with own body, contact improvisation and relaxation

- Education is divided into two whole-day classes and takes place in the MU gymnasium. The course is concluded with the colloquium. Admission conditions: active participation in the both classes, elaboration of an intended homework.
