Course objectives
The seminar focuses on the translation of subtitles and the practical issues of this type of translation.
Syllabus
  • A theretical introduction: translating the subtitles and the technical support, the particularities of the "subtitle language". Practical part: traslation, problem shooting, translation of the cultural references.

Assessment methods
Seminar attendance is mandatory, students are expected to activelly participate on the seminar. The credits will be given for the group project, i.e. the subtitles.
