- Course objectives
- The interpretation of German poetry from Naturalism to Expressionism. The authors of "Young Vienna", Thomas and Heinrich Mann, prose writing around 1900, drama around 1900, lyric poetry around 1900, nonsense poetry by Morgenstern, Expressionism - journals and manifestos, expressionistic poetry, expressionistic drama, expressionistic prose writing.

- Teaching methods
- Lectures and seminar. The seminar is based on methods of presentation, analysis and synthesis of knowledge. It also uses collective work, in-class discussions and individual work of students.
- Assessment methods
- The student gives an oral presentation 3-4 times 10 - 15 min per term. Those contributions that were not orally presented during semester are due in a written form before the end of the term.
