Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are the following: making students aware of romatic aesthetics; imitation and expression; formalism and autonomy; theories of meaning. Use and apply the terms of musical aesthetics of the period.

Assessment methods
Written examination consisting of 6 questions focusing on the basic notions of the discipline. Subsequent oral examination in the form of a discussion over the work of a selected author.
