- Course objectives
- The course deals with the Greek prose and poetry of the Archaic and Classical Periods (in accordance with the standard periodization). After the completion of the course the students:
- can distinguish relevant genres of Greek prose and poetry
- can name the prominent figures of the genres in question
- are also informed about the relevant secondary literature - Syllabus
- 1. Periodization of the Ancient Greek literature; secondary literature.

- 5.-6. Prose of the Archaic Period
- 7.-9. Poetry of the Classical Period
- 10.-12. Prose of the Classical Period
