- Good knowledge of German to be able to interpret in both directions (German-Czech, Czech-German). For this reason this course is not suitable for Bachelor studies students.

- Course objectives
- Various kinds of interpreting will be discussed (sight translation, consecutive and simultaneous interpreting), as well as problems and inhibitions in the process of SI.

- 1. Working with text to prepare for SI: syntactic and semantic simplification, gisting 2. Note-taking 3. Exercises to practise concentration, correct breathing and voice techniques 4.
