Course objectives
This course is meant as a course of Italian for special purposes for students at B2 level and for students who want to study Italian for professional purposes, such as translating legal and administrative texts. At the end of the course the students will be able to identify and use the main elements of the Italian judicial language and of the language of bureaucracy. These are meant in terms of lexis, syntax and morphology. The students will also be introduced to the Italian judicial system.
Syllabus
  • Description and analysis of the legal language: morphology, syntax, lexis, semantics; overview of the Italian judicial system. Reading of scientific and literary texts.
