- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- At the end of the course, students should be able to: - Know the phonological system of Catalan. - Understand the phonetic system of Catalan and its variations. - Transcribe, phonetically, according to IPA, the sounds of Catalan. - Understand the segmental and suprasegmental phenomena affecting the Catalan language. - Apply the orthoepic norm of Catalan and the problems it presents for speakers nowadays.
