- Course objectives
- Practical language seminar; activities focused on communication. The lessons are based on original texts and audio files, oral and written exercises. The students will be asked to take part actively to the lessons.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the students will able to -identify information in short dialogues and written texts, -apply their knowledge of Italian Language in short and simple dialogues, -write short texts, above all descriptive and narrative texts. -Exit Level of Language: B1
- Syllabus
- Grammatical structures: -Present tense of regular and irregular verbs, -past tenses (imperfetto e passato prossimo), future simple, imperative, present conditional -personal pronouns -connectives, -simple sentences and compound sentences. Topics: -study and work, -holidays and free time, -food and restaurants, -town, public transport, -family, jobs and everyday life.

- Teaching methods
- Class activities by means of authentic texts and videos/recordings. Students are required to be actively involved in class activities and practical analysis of a specific text.
- Assessment methods
- In order to successfully end the course students should: -prepare and do all exercises -actively take part to the lessons -read the dual-language book "Pinocchiova dobrodruzstvi", -write three written short texts (about 100-120 words each) -pass the written exam. Once enrolled in the course, attendance is highly compulsory (min. 75%).
