- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to teach the students basic Dutch so that the students are able to communicate in everyday basic situations. We focus on all four skills - speaking + proper pronunciation, listening, writing and reading. The student also acquires basic knowledge of grammar and vocabulary and realia of the topics we focus on during the course.
There is a follow up course - Dutch for beginners II. At the end of both courses is the expected level A1 - A2 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages. - Learning outcomes
- Students will learn the basics of Dutch, learn reading with comprehension, listening, speaking and will be able to communicatie in basic communicative situations.
- Syllabus
- There are two topics which we focus on in the course. These topics are the topics of the first two chapters from the textbook Vanzelfsprekend: • 1.Welcome on board • 2. How are you?

- written midterm test, evaluation of homework. At the end of the semester a credit test
