- Course objectives
- Students will first be introduced to the discipline, its methods and analytical tools and, against this background, the structures of Italian will be described according to the different levels of linguistic analysis (phonology, morphology and morphosyntax).
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course, students will be able to describe the main structures of Italian using the appropriate technical terminology.
- Syllabus
- Foundations linguistics, analytical tools and categories, levels of analysis (overview of phonology, morphosyntax, lexis). The origin of Italian. Italian today (repertoires, varieties and linguistic space).
- Literature
- Teaching methods
- Explanation of basic problems and their exemplification on different types of specific examples. Seminar exercises.
