Course objectives
The course pretends to offer instruments, so that students can develop their interpreting competence within specialized fields. a)consecutive interpreting, b) simultaneous interpreting.
Learning outcomes
Thanks to intensive training, students are acquainted with strategies that will help them in further development of their interpreting competencies.

  • Block I: Consecutive Interpreting Block II: Simultaneous Interpreting This course consists of three parts: 1) Interpreting for administrative bodies 2) Interpreting for business sectors 3) Interpreting for cultural institutions and organizations

Teaching methods
Regular homework and systematic preparation are required. An active approach in class of the students is expected.
Assessment methods
Regular attendance is requiered, as well as systematic preparation for each class. Exam: a) consecutive interpreting b) simultaneous interpreting (success rate: 70% out of 100 points)
