- The lecture offers an introduction to theoretical phonology.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course, the student is able to:
- classify sounds and use IPA
- describe distinctions between structuralist a generative approaches to phonological structure;
- use theoretical tools to describe language material;
- formally capture phonological information. - Syllabus
- 1. Fonologie a fonetika
- - inventář hlásek vs. fonotaktika, hledání opakujících se vzorců, typologie
- - transkripce hlásek, IPA
- - fonetika: akustické a artikulační charakteristiky hlásek
- - fonologie: jazykové funkce hlásek, foném - alofon, minimální páry, kontrast, distribuce
- 2. Inventář hlásek
- - vokalické invetáře
- - konsonantické inventáře
- - zachycení systematických vztahů: dekompozice pomocí rysů, definice přirozených tříd
