- Course objectives
- Subject offer to students a view to methods, targets, forms and subject of educational processes. Offer a summary of the teacher, pupils, pedagogy communication, of curriculum and other problems of contemporary pedagogy.
At the end of this course, students should be able to: understand and be able to explain basic categories of education, discuss about aims, curriculumt, means and ends of education, principals of educational process - and their mutual relations. - Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
a) Define key educational concepts, such as upbringing, education and schooling, and also to characterize the principal actors of the educational process, including teachers, students, school and family, with regard to all consequences.
b) Identify and describe current main objectives of Czech educational policy.
c) Analyse student characteristics and their impact on student academic achievement.
d) Apply in practice key competences and cross-curricular topics as characterized in Framework Educational Programme.
e) Apply basic rules of educational communication in practise and correctly form educational questions of various types and assess their applicability in the process of education. - Syllabus

- 2. History of pedagogy and education.

- 4. Pupil as a subject of education.
- 5. Pupils specific problems and needs.

- 7. Classroom and school social climate, educational environment.
- 8. Curriculum.
- 9. School as institution, Czech education system, school legislation, basic documents and trends of educational policy.
