- Course objectives
- Detailed overview of historical geography of Ancient Greece (including western coast of Asia Minor, and islands of Crete, Rhodes and Cyprus).
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will be able:
- to gain full insight into historical geography of the core of the ancient Greek world in Archaic and Classic period of the Greek history;
- to correlate knowledge thus obtained with alreadz known historical context;
- to gain overview about main political and cultural centres of the Greek world, about their appearance and material culture, etc.;
- to locate and identify the most important historical and cultural landmarks and monuments in Greece. - Syllabus
