Course objectives
The course gives an overview on the current possible uses of modern technologies in the teaching of Czech language. The students will be acclimated with specifics of class preparation while using technologies. At the end of the course, all of the students will be able to prepare their lessons, utilizing technologies to teach Czech language on their own. Active student participation is expected, as well as the formulation of their own opinions on the subject at hand.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- effectively involve technologies in their own foreign language lessons;
- Plan a lesson where technology will be used;
- describe the advantages and disadvantages of the tools;
- use of the tools for own use;
- explain to their students how to use the tools;
- search and analyze new tools suitable for use in foreign language lessons.
Syllabus
  • 1. How to teach vocabulary.
  • 2. What tools we can use to practice words and phrases.
  • 3. How to use videos.
  • 4. Testing and feedback using technologies.
  • 5. How technology can help with reading and writing.
  • 6. Storytelling.
  • 7. Games.
  • Some topics will be divided into more lessons.
