Course objectives
Students will translate short Czech or German literary texts with the help of native speakers.
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to understand and analyze source texts at all levels; to learn to formulate the scopos of the target communication and text; to define the major strategy of a translation; to learn creative methods in a translation process; to explain own decisions how to translate a chosen text.
