- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to provide an intensive study course outside the university rooms focusing on reading an translating texts under the supervision and tutorial of particular teachers from the Institute of Classical Studies. The course takes part 22.-26. April in the village called Moravec. Students of Greek will read Xenophon and Sophocles, Students of Latin Caesar, Sallust, Cicero, Livy, Vergil, Ovid, Catull, Plautus, Tacitus, students of mediterranean studies will improve their knowledge in Roman languages. Every afternoon, students will be offered scholarly presentations from the members of the Institute as well as the diffenrent movies or theater plays reflecting the the Ancient time.

- Preliminary plan of the course:
- First class Latin: 18 lessons Caesar, 4 lessons Latin grammar.
- Second class Latin: 8 lessons Cicero (Discussions at Tusculum), 10 lessons Ovid (Metamorphoses), 4 lessons Sallust.
- Third class Latin: 12 lessons Livy, 10 lessons Vergil.
- MA-Students Latin: 6 lessons Carmina Burana, 6 lessons Tacitus, 4 lessons Roman lyrics, 6 lessons Plautus.
- Greek class: 13 lessons Xenophon, 13 lessons Sofocles.
- Mediterranean studies: 16 lessons conversation and practical language, 4 lessons: reading of literature, 2 lessons: history in averydays life.
- Afternoons: lectures on different topics.
- Evenings: cinematography and radio: Ancient themes. Friday: afternoon playing walk.
