Course objectives
The course is taught in Modern Greek. The main aims of the course are: developing basic communicative abilities in Modern Greek; practice of grammatical phenomena and topics dealt with in Modern Greek Grammar IV (lessons 30-39 of the Basics of Modern Greek); the improvement of independent oral and writing practice in Modern Greek language.
Syllabus
  • Conversation topics: Greek radio and television, short survey of Greek history and the history of Greek language, short survey of Modern Greek literature, Greek songs and music, curriculum vitae, application form, Greek book market, advertisements, minor languages in the EU.
  • Topics from Greek magazines, newspapers and literature, watching videos about Greece.
  • Independent oral and writing practice.
