Course objectives
Deeper insight in Italia morphology, syntax and vocabulary based on original Italian texts and exercices.
Syllabus
  • Following studies of texts and basic practice sessions, this proseminar is to supply students with a better understanding of the system of the Italian language regarding morphology, syntax and lexis. The grammatical phenomena in question are presented in the light of contemporary Italian grammars, with due emphasis placed on paradigmatic structure and the wider context. The goals of the proseminar are to set up a basis for subsequent systematic studies of Italian normative grammar.

Seminar attendance is mandatory. Three check-up tests are written during the course of the semester, each student must pass all of these.
