Course objectives
The main aim of the course is to continue with the introduction into the issues concerning different types of texts. An Introduction into Consecutive Interpreting.
Syllabus
  • Seminars focuse: 1) Issues concerning practical aspects of the translation process. - Tecnical translation - translation of texts from the Humanities area - Life and Institutions in traslations - Spanish in EU institution and organizations - IT Spanish - Tecnical Spanish - Marketing Spanish 2) Introduction into Consecutive Interpreting.

Teaching methods
Students will try to make use of studied theory in practice. Translations of different types of text will be analysed in class. Consecutive interpreting, practical exercises.
Assessment methods
1) Regular homework and systematic preparation are required. Regular attendance is needed. 2) Consecutive Interpreting: oral exam.
