- Course objectives
- The seminar is aimed to provide an orientation and ability to read in Sanskrit by collective reading/recitation (patha) of texts in Sanskrit. It presupposes at least the knowledge on the level of courses Sanskrit I-IV.
After passing the course the student should:
Read and recite smoothly in devanagari script.
Identify and analyze individually the meaning carrying units in texts.
Translate from Sanskrit into Czech.
Seminar will be continued. The reading for the following course is dependent upon the students' development. - Syllabus
- Continual collective reading/reciting and translation of texts in Sanskrit. Approximately 10 slokas per one meeting.
