Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to introduce the basic cultural theories to the students, which should give them a wider perspective of the problematics. The culture is not seen only as a nation but also in the sense of religion, generation, gender etc. The students will consciously take a critical view of the presentation of cultures in media and at the homogenous / heterogenous society. The subject will also give them an insight and understanding of relationships between cultures through experiential learning and project work.
Learning outcomes
Students will understand the concept of culture on several layers. They will be given tools, theory and practical tasks that will enable them to view other cultures from different perspectives.
