- Course objectives
- The discipline makes a link to General Education and focuses studentsattention to selected theories related to education. Among them, academic, congitive-psychological, personalistic, social, socio-cognitive, sporitual and technological theories play the main role.
Aim of this discipline is to gain knowledge of educational theories, understanding of theories and ability to evaluate critically each educational theories. - Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- identify the specifics of the main educational theories in terms of goals, principles, curriculum, teacher-student relationship, forms and methods of teaching
- present the arguments used by the different educational theories to defend their principles
- expertly discuss the advantages and the limits of the solutions that each educational theories offers - Syllabus
