Course objectives
The main goal of this course is to provide students with a deeper insight into the Czech syntax with regard to the specifics of translation of foreign-language texts into Czech. Lectures are completed with seminars and practical training, that include exercises using specific texts in which the discussed syntactic phenomena are demonstrated and practiced.
Learning outcomes
Students will reinforce their knowledge of the Czech language and will be able to take into account the structural differences between the target language and the target language.

Master classes - Theory. Syntactic analysis of selected texts. Seminars and excercises.
Assessment methods
Final exam: written test (success rate: 75%). Students should meet assignment submission deadlines.
