Course objectives
In this seminar the methods and knowledge will be extended that students acquired in the course "Wirtschaftsdeutsch I". During the seminars we will discuss the translations of the students in detail and we will focus on stylistic possibilities and differences. In this seminar we will concentrate on the General Business Conditions. Also in this semester, the students will extend their vocabulary as far as the following topics are concerned: trade/business, negotiations, General business conditions / contract, goods delivery, General business conditions / contract insurance. There is an e-learing course in ELF available for the students for this course. At the end of the term there is a written test checking the vocabulary the students acquired during this course.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to complete the subject
- to work with the basic structure of form contracts
- to distinguish the degree of expertise of a specific contract (economics, law)
- apply professional vocabulary, including the appropriate collocations
working with individual glossaries of professional vocabulary
