Course objectives
The main objective of this course is to practically study with use of anatomical preparations and 3D models and visually fix the knowledge learned by the students within the course Anatomy for anthropologists I.; Human anatomy in the extent specific for the students of anthropology. The classes are given at the Department of Anthropology. The goal of this course is that the students acquire knowledge about the human body musculoskeletal structure. Knowledge of the human body morphology is fundamental for the students of anthropology, with respect to the integral approach to anthropological study and research. Understanding the morphology of the human body is fundamental also from the practical standpoint - without it it is almost impossible to grasp the majority of biologically oriented methods of anthropological research (while it is also important in social and cultural anthropology research).
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the students should be able to understand the anatomy of human locomotor system, to define and list both its passive and active components; the students should be able to explain the anatomical structure and function of the skeletal system and muscular apparatus of the human body and use this knowledge in anthropological studies and research; such proficiency is essential for a study in any area of the knowledge of man.

Teaching methods
The tuition is practical, using anatomical preparations (and with use of multimedia aids in form of a 3D anatomical atlas and generated study materials), presence is mandatory, the students come to every class prepared for the content practically studied in that class, according to the previous lecture. The preparedness for the class is checked via a short test administered at the beginning of the practical class. The test consists of 6 questions (combination of multiple-choice with one correct answer and indicating correct structures on illustrations/schemes). To be awarded credit at the end of the course the student must acquire at least 65% of the points attainable in the tests.
Assessment methods
Credit is awarded if the student acquires at least 65% of all points attainable in tests and is present in the practical classes (maximum 20% absence non-excused by a physician/illness or other grave circumstances).
