Course objectives
Students will be able to select and practically perform appropriate experiments in lessons of chemistry.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course student should be able:
- To choose an experiment that is appropriate to the topic discussed in the lesson.
- To practically perform the experiment with equipment provided by the school.
Syllabus
  • The laboratory course comprises the following types of experiments:
  • - Inorganic and organic synthetic experiments, isolation of natural products.
  • - Cyanotype
  • - Simple Physico-chemical experiments (electrochemical cells, determination of rate constant, and partial reaction order).
  • - Basic analysis and identification of natural products using TLC and UV-vis spectroscopy.
  • - Inquiry-based learning.
  • - Kitchen chemistry.
  • - Chemical experiments with household chemicals.
