- Course objectives
- Thea aim of the lecture is to understand the main problems of global water management at both regional and local scales. The lecture concentrates on human induced problems related to environment-nonfriendly exploiting of water resources.
- Learning outcomes
- The main knowledge after completion of the course acquire: location of the most important regional aquifers at the global scale; recharging of the aquifers; impact of natural conditions and mainly the climate conditions to aquifers recharging, water percolation and formation of water resources; risks of excessive water resources usage.

- 1) Global important aquifers.
- 2) Demands on water and their changes over the time.
- 3) Israel - war over the water.
- 4) Water resources in arid regions.
- 5) When a lake is dying.
- 6) Risks of usage of static groundwater resources.
- 7) Geothermal energy.
- 8) The price of the water.
- 9) Water and the climate change.
