- Course objectives
- to organize students' current knowledge of the geography of Europe ;
to contribute to the understanding of regional differences in natural and socio-economic conditions ;
to familiarize with the current problems of individual groups of countries ;
to show the possibilities of teaching individual topics in the form of various didactic methods - Learning outcomes
- the student is oriented on the map of Europe ;
understands the origin and development of physical-geographical conditions ;
understands regional differences in natural conditions ;
knows the regions of Europe ;
knows basic information about individual European countries
knows the economic conditions of Europe and their connection with natural conditions ;
knows the current problems of European countries - Syllabus
- Physical geography of Europe
- Geographical boundaries of Europe against Asia, different conceptions
- The population of Europe and the superficies of Europe (with different possibilities in Russia); Structure of European population; Europe after the fall of the bipolar model of the World.
- Regional geography of European counties (inclusively European part of Russia, Slovakia, exclusively the Czech Republic).

- Teaching methods
- The primary teaching method is lectures supplemented by various forms of e-learning. The exercises are conducted in the form of varied didactic methods, the aim of which is to offer students a wide range of them, from which they will be able to draw in their future teaching practice.

- The exam has a written part. The exam assesses knowledge of Europe's physical-geographical and socio-economic conditions.
