- Course objectives
- Students will experience different morphological states of yeast cell during its life cycle and under different growth conditions. They will follow up mating and sporulation processes of different yeast strains. They will learn about a special preparative technique (essential for advanced methods like DNA isolation etc.).
- Syllabus
- Microscopy of yeast cell. Cell wall - staining. Preparation of sferoplasts and protoplasts. Yeast mating and sporulation.
