Course objectives
Course follows Geographical analysis of labour market, which is a part of master programme. Besides analyses the main objective of this course is an outline of short and long term trends at the regional labour markets. Besides prognoses the attention will be paid to an issue of data objectivity (Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and labour force sample surveys. The absolvent of this course will be able to take the position of head of labour market section at labour offices, or function of head at regional office or Ministry for regional development.

  • 2. CSO data and their use in regional geographical research
  • 3. International data on labour market – ILO and EUROSTAT
  • 4. Main insufficiencies of these data
  • 5. Role of foreigners at the regional labour markets
  • 6. Methods of prognosis of labour market situation
  • 7. Knowledge on existing use of data, proposal for improvement of data bases, questionnaire surveys
