Course objectives
At the end of the course, students should be able to understand the major topics of Biochemistry I course: The structure, basic features and molecular functions of the main components of living systems: Aminoacids, peptides, proteins and lipids. They will be able to perform basic calculations in thermodynamics as well as to understand the basics of enzymology. Last but not least, the students should understand metabolism of sugars, lipids and principles of citrate cycle, respiratory chain and photosynthesis.
