Course objectives
The main aim of the lecture is the comparative osteology of selected groups of Tertiary and Quaternary amphibians and reptiles. The lecture is suitable for those interested in Quaternary paleontology.
Syllabus
  • 1 - systematical division of reptiles, the taxonomical position of studied groups within reptilian classification; 2 - the general osteologal characterization of reptiles; 3 - overview of amphibian (Cadata, Salientia) and squamate representatives of Sauria (Anguidae, Lacertidae) and Serpentes (Colubridae, Viperidae) - osteology, taxonomically important features.
