- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is teach students how to characterized differentiate microscopic fungi on the basis of their morphology, life cycles, physiology and ecology.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students should be able to differentiate microscopic fungi on the basis of their morphology, life cycles, physiology and ecology. Owing to learned knowledge the course holder is able to use obtained information in taxonomy of microscopic fungi and independently interpret acquired data for identification of unknown samples of microscopic fungi.

- Zygomycota - life cycle, systematic treatment, development of zygosporangium, morphology of asexual reproduction, ecology and occurrence in nature
- Ascomycota - general characteristic, life cycle, teleomorph - anamorph concept, systematic treatment, morphology, ecology, importance and occurrence in nature.
