- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is - to learn and practise academic English in biological context at B1 level, according to CEFR; - to prepare to an exam in English for Specific Purposes; - to practise academic skills typical to Bachelor's studies in the target language (for example: using numbers in academic texts typical to formal and life sciences, describing an apparatus used for an experiment/ describing experimental set-up, describing an experiment, giving opinion from different perspectives);
- Learning outcomes
- After completing this course the student will be able to:
understand authentic biological texts/lectures
identify the main ideas
formulate the main ideas
interpret the information
