Syllabus
  • Position and importance of transport. Classifications of the transports, characteristics of modes of transport, efficiency,of transport, Transportation geography and its orientation. Transport statistics.
  • Space removing as a base of the transport. Transport point, route, transport network. Topological simplification of the transport network. Time dynamics in the functional network.
  • Contextualization of transportation, transport equipment of territory, transport infrastucture, measures. Centre of traffic, hinterland, passenger traffic and the territory, frequencies. Regionalization of th transports.
  • Traffic impact on the environment.
  • Central places, centrality. Position and importance of tertiary activities. Typology of services. System of central places in the Czech Republic.
  • Position and importance of tourism and recreation. Natural, cultural and technical conditions of tourism. Tourism in the World.
