- Course objectives
- Basic principles, atomic line widths, instrumentation and radiation sources. The flame technique, atomization in flames, spectral and non-spectral interferences, their elimination and control. Electrothermal atomizers, graphite, platform technique, graphite probe, atomization, interferences, matrix modifiers and background correction in AAS. Generation of volatile hydrides and could vapour mercury system.
