Course objectives
The course is a continuation of C5910 Chromatographic Methods I. Principles, techniques, instrumentation and contemporary trends in the field of thin layer chromatography (TLC) capillary electrophoresis (HPCE), capillary electrochromatography (CEC), inverse chromatography and hyphenated techniques.
Syllabus
  • According to number of semester weeks: 1.- 2. Thin layer chromatography. Principles. Instrumentation. Application. 3.- 6. Capillary electrophoresis and electrochromatography. Ion progression in electrical field, fundamental equations, terms, and parameters. Principles of CE techniques and those of capilllary electrochromatography, applications. Instrumentation. Quantitation. 7.- 8. Inverse chromatography 9.- 10. Hyphenated techniques in separation analysis. 11. - 12. Trends in chromatography. Multidimensional chromatography. Rapid resulution high throuput chromatography. Microseparations.
