Course objectives
The course contains two parts connected in one lecture. Ecological part presents the relation of fungi and environmental conditions, the life strategies of different fungi in relation to other organisms (saprotrophs, symbionts, parasites), the biotopes and distribution of fungi. The second part presents fungi from the human point of view, either utility fungi (edible or economically important ones), or harmful fungi (poisonous or pathogenic ones); somewhere in between is the note about protection of fungi.
Syllabus
