Course objectives
The lecture introduces into problematics of transmition and processing of information by nervous system. It proceeds from membrane events and canal role description, continues on particular senses physiology and closes with psychophysiology af sensation and memory. Historical and methodological implications are mentioned. The main objective of the course is to learn the problematics of sensory physiology.

  • Membrane physiology: - resting potential - action potential - ion channels - signal spreading and synapses Sensory physiology: - general principles - olfaction ang gustation - mechanoreception and hearing - vision and other senses Psychophysiology: - processing of visual information - learning and memory - behavioral neurophysiology
