- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to: - discuss problematics of transmition and processing of information by nervous system. - understand fundamental membrane events and role of canals in transduction in particular senses including psychophysiology context of sensation and memory. - acquaint colleagues with a short relevant paper. - analyse scintific text, formulate and present key information. - present knowledge of comparative physiology in the context of key neurophysiological principles.

- Membrane physiology: - resting potential - action potential - ion channels - signal spreading and synapses Sensory physiology: - general principles - olfaction ang gustation - mechanoreception and hearing - vision and other senses Psychophysiology: - processing of visual information - learning and memory - behavioral neurophysiology
