Course objectives

An ability to understand and present research papers in category theory including a survey of related literature.

Learning outcomes

Mastering of given special areas of category theory. A preparation for an independent research work in this area. The attention will be focused on applications in model theory.

Syllabus

• Seminar will introduce to model theory and then will concentrate on applications of category theory in this area. Initial presentation will be given by M. Kamsma (2-3 seminars). Then we will pass to the study of chosen papers.

Reports with a discussion.

Evaluation of an activity.
