The student writes the bachelor's diploma thesis during the 5th and 6th semester of study. The focus of the work can be either linguistic or literary. The work is written in Italian. In the 5th semester the student completes the courses IJ1A051 Bachelor Thesis Seminar I, ROM1A003 Academic Writing for Romanists; in the 6th semester Bachelor Thesis Seminar II, IJ1A053 Bachelor Diploma Thesis.
