Study-related information

  • Parts of the final state examination and its content
The State Final Examination consists of two parts:
    A) defence of the bachelor thesis,
    B) the subject part.
The individual subject examinations and the defence are oral.

    A) defence of the bachelor thesis
The bachelor thesis will be presented in the form of a case study. The student, in cooperation with the thesis supervisor, will select a proband for this case study and ensure his/her participation during the professional practice (Professional Practice 1-3), which are a compulsory part of the study. The aim of the Bachelor's thesis is to demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a client, as well as the ability to work with professional resources and critical thinking. The student will optimally select and describe methods of initial diagnosis and, based on this data, select and apply a preventive intervention procedure (exercise intervention, nutritional intervention, lifestyle modification). Subsequently, the student will perform outcome measurement and evaluation. Finally, the student objectively assesses the effect of the intervention and compares the results of the work with current knowledge and evidence.

    B) subject part

    Movement in prevention
Questions on subjects related to movement in prevention in the general population, focusing mainly on primary prevention across the ontogenetic spectrum (anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, exercise physiology, kinesiology, movement training, movement activities, preventive movement programmes, etc.)

    Nutrition in prevention
Questions on subjects related to rational nutrition in the prevention of the general population, focusing mainly on primary prevention across the ontogenetic spectrum (physiology, biochemistry, healthy nutrition, ...)

    Working with the client
The questions on counselling, first aid, motivation, coaching will include practical case studies that will build on the portfolio (composed of the outputs from the individual courses of Practices 1, 2 and 3)
  • Suggestion of theses topics and the topics of defended theses
The impact of physical activity on quality of life in women of reproductive age
Effect of physical activity on dyslipidemia as a component of metabolic syndrome
Effect of strength training on the reduction of childhood obesity
Effect of exercise intervention on anthropometric indices in a haemato-oncology patient
Weight training as a health benefit
Effect of intermittent fasting on lipid profile in a proband with metabolic syndrome
Effect of lifestyle modification in an overweight proband
Effect of physical activity on quality of life in menopausal women
Effect of parental nutrition education on weight reduction in a school-aged child
