- Course objectives
- The main objectives of the course are the following: acquainting students with the terminology of the sports pedagogy; making students aware of human conception of the modern sports pedagogy; analyzing the sports education in the modern world.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students should be able to: understand and explain the modern trends of the sport education; interpret the result of the empirical researches of sport education; interpret the sports educational program of the various institutions; make high-quality program of the sports education.

- 01. Definitions and features of sports education. National and global documents on sports and sport education
- 02. Elements of the sport education process (goals, participants, conditions, resources)
- 03. Origin and beginnings of sport pedagogy
- 04. Development and current concept of sport pedagogy
- 05. Sport pedagogy in the science system. Concept and content of sport pedagogy in the Czech Republic and abroad (e.g. Slovakia, Germany, USA)
- 06. Empirical, normative and critical concepts of sport pedagogy and their importance for sport educators
- 07. Basic areas of sport education in terms of educational institutions, age, performance levels, integration and inclusion
- 08. Objectives, content and importance of school sport. Sport and development of community school
- 09. Educational aspects of leisure sport – sport and leisure (function, features, meaning)
- 10. Pedagogical problems of competitive sport. Dual career
