- Grappling is a kind of sport within the martial art called Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It is a full-contact martial sport focused on the use of various wrestling techniques (knockdowns, leverage, strangulation etc.), without the use of punches or kicks. The main objectives of the course are: - to improve the level of the motor skills and fitness – to influence a positive attitude towards sports activities understood as a defence against conflicts, the civilizational diseases and stress – to support a healthy lifestyle in students
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be able to: - apply learned techniques in sports training of combat sports - apply learned techniques in everyday life in the case of self-defense - independently use the correct principles of static stretching and joint mobilization
- Syllabus
- 1) Joint mobilization and stretching 2) Movement drills 3) Checking the opponent in stance 4) Defeat techniques 5) Checking the opponent on the ground 6) Positions and transitions 7) Rewinding positions - sweeps 8) Submissions - final techniques (leverage, strangulation,...) 9) Complex concepts - controlled combat 10) Sparring exercises
