Course objectives
This course is intended as a conceptualization of the security policy of the Czech Republic. Students should be able to identify various security-political sectors in the Czech Republic.contemporary. They should be able to understand and to explain structure, processes and outputs of the Czech security policy.

  • 1. Introduction to the study of the security policy of the CR; 2. Definition of security policy; 3. Traditions; 4. Conceptual a strategic documents 5. Basic legal framework; 6. Teaching methods
The course takes the form of both lectures and seminars. There are explained basic thesis of the Czech security policy within lectures. There are expert statements presented during seminars. Students should to write reviews about expert statements.
Assessment methods
Students will receive a final letter grade (A-F) for the semester based on the following components (at least 36 points is necessary): 6 reviews, 12- written work, 6 - in term tests; 36 points - final test Grading: 56-60: A 51-55: B 46-50: C 41-45: D 36-40: E 35-0: F.
