Cíle předmětu
This course will teach you to write press releases and speeches, understand how a political campaign is planned, conduct opposition research, and train a political candidate for coverage by print and television. It will focus heavily on practical research techniques used in a political campaign, the needs of television (the most effective and used media for political communication) and on the tools now available through new media.
Osnova
  • In the first day, we will focus on the literature on political communication theory and we will discuss those. The second day will be devoted to developing a political campaign and we will discuss how to prepare candidates for television, creation of a media plan with timeline, dealing with the media, etc. Students will split into groups and conditions and outlines of team work will be specified. In the second week, we will focus on team presentations and evaluations.
