- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to provide theoretical basis of construction law, both in terms of private and public, including current changes. The main topics will be taught by taking into account the ongoing process of reform of the public administration, reform of private law. In this course, attention will be focused on explaining the basic concepts of public construction law, individual processes of planning authorities under the Building Act, on the treatment of the Building Code. Furthermore, attention will be paid to the fundamental questions of relations builders and contractors, purchase contracts, service contracts, etc.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course students should have a basic theoretical and practical knowledge of the public and private law governing construction law. Students should be able to explain the connections and relations between construction law and administrative law, to apply legislation on various practical examples, to offer a solution of specific cases and is able to justify his solutions. The students should also know legislation concerned with various construction law contracts and be able to draw them.
- Syllabus
- 1.Introduction to issue introduction to the program and subject kontent. The term "public costruction law" and springs legislation characterization of the current state of legislation. 2. Introduction to spatial planning. Planning authorities, the issue of the status and relationship of municipalities and regions in the work of building authorities. Administrative proceedings in mode of the Building Act, the mission types. 3.Planning, mission, types, specific land management, simplified procedures - territorial agreement and simplified planning procedure (procedures and conditions). 4.Building permits, construction management specifics, authorized inspector, public contract. 5.Usage buildings, notification of use, occupancy permit, a change in the method of use. Removal of buildings. 6. Sanctions. Expropriation. 7. The purchase contract. 8.Právo building. 9.contract work.

- Assessment methods
- The condition for the colloquium is to develop and defend a project seminar. Its range is set at approximately 5 pages. The work will involve the analysis of case law relating to the selected problem. The selected topic will be orally presented in the colloquium. Students must be able to work to defend and respond to questions on the matter.
